Below are the words to a song produced and sung in the 1980’s.

Ooh-oo child, things’ll get be brighter
Ooh-oo child, things are gonna be easier
Ooh-oo child, things’ll get be brighter

Some day, yeah
We’ll get it together and we’ll get it all done
Some day, when your head is much lighter
Some day, yeah we’ll walk in the rays of a beautiful sun
Some day when the world is much brighter

I’ve lived a life filled with all kinds of stuff most of it pretty crappy stuff. I had seasons in my life when I didn’t believe things could or would ever get easier. I saw life as rough, tough and daunting and then you died.

Then something miraculous happened along my life journey. I met an amazing teacher who reminded me that I was a glorious creation in the earth for this time. That after the first born son, there were many others and I was one of the many. And by amazing grace, I came to the realization God had given me everything I needed for this lifetime. The only way my world was going to get easier, lighter and brighter was I grasp what my world was trying to teach me and take responsibility. I had to come to the apprehension no matter how much I ran, wrestled, or denied the buck always stopped with me.

I came to the realization I couldn’t blame my broken relationships, which usually ended with men going away in my life, on the no-good cheating first love who broke my heart when I was eighteen. Nor could I blame the so-called best friend who wore my mom-made, hand-crocheted, gorgeous outfit on her first date with him.

I couldn’t blame the drunkard husband who, when I asked him his choice me or his bottle of Jack Daniels, chose Jack. I couldn’t blame the second husband who lost his battle to cancer. And, my parents—could I blame them? I did for a while until I learned that parents are only grown-up kids who have been ruined by other misguided grown-up kids.

After going around the Mulberry bush of life a few dozen times, I finally acknowledged I had an abandonment issue, to name just one. I needed to resolve the matter personally and inwardly. Facing the truth wasn’t an easy pill to swallow. And even now when the proverbial you-know-what hits the fan and the mirror-of-life reflects its ugliness, I still get choked on the truth pill.

That’s right! Things still happen in my middle-aged life where I’d love to blame someone else for my rotten circumstance. However, I now realize it all begins with me. I create my reality, my world. No one and no thing is responsible. And that realization, my friend, is even a harder pill to swallow.

It’s like one of those nasty, over-sized, sticky vitamin supplements my nutritionist keeps telling me is good for my health. How can it be? It’s nasty. It’s smelly and it gets stuck in my throat. But remarkably, once I hold my nose and gag a few times, I do eventually get it down leading to my feeling better physically which, in turn, leads to mental and emotional good health. And the more often I take my supplements, the easier it gets.

Sometimes, life comes at you blazing spitting thirty-eights. And, before you can recover the guns get bigger and the ammo becomes forty-fives. I’ve had the whirlwind of life hit me hard and brutally and at times it seemed before I could get up and recover from the last spray, I was shot and rolled again. There were times when I felt I was done for the count. And then, a suddenly! An Amazingly!

I came to know the purpose of life, believe it or not, is not to suffer brutally or be its victim. Its purpose is one of abundance, one filled with joy. Life’s experiences are for our expansion which, inevitably, if you learn quickly and don’t fight it, will lead to your joy.

So, can it get easier? Absolutely! When? When you:

1) look within,

2) make deliberate and well thought choices,

3) take responsibility. Whether the choices are good or bad they are yours,

4) and finally, release and move on.

It will get lighter, like the song says, when your head or your thoughts get lighter. And it can and will become brighter when your mind and beliefs conform to your light within.

Let’s look at a passage of Scripture. It is what I know and use for my base. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Ref.: Jeremiah 29:11. How about this one? “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they [you] may have life, and have it to the full.” Ref.: John 10:10.

These scripture certainly sound positive. The thief, the: robber, burglar, shoplifter, pickpocket, bandit, crook mentioned in the second verse is someone or a force that leaves you feeling vulnerable, violated and victimized. I believe this to be your personally created illusions, shadows and delusions. It is your self-sabotaging, subconscious mind chatter and donkey talk haunting you 24/7.

They are the thoughts telling you life can’t get any better because you’re not worthy of a good, loving, and prosperous life. It is the Niagara Falls of negative memories reminding and reinforcing the belief, “You don’t deserve love, and you don’t deserve a brighter future, a laughter-filled, lighter or easier life.” It is the malignant belief that you have to suffer and life has to be hard.

Here’s another Scripture? “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Ref.: Matthew 11:30. Meaning, my burden or my oppression is easy: simple, trouble-free, effortless, uncomplicated, painless and unproblematic.

Heresy you say. What about the Scripture that states, “And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” Ref.: Luke 14:27. Could this possibly mean whoever does not carry or bear their own purpose, cause, calling or responsibility cannot follow after or become Me [the Christ minded]?

Let me use one more Scripture to attempt to convince you and then I’ll let you be on your way. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Ref.: Romans 12:2-3.

Now, isn’t that soothing? It should be but probably isn’t because it’s more comfortable and easier to hold on to archaic belief systems that don’t work. The pattern of this world says you must struggle. Life is hard and it’s not your fault. I’m here to tell you that life will bring you ups and downs; and life will mirror back to you who and what you are. Life brings tests and yes, at times, life doesn’t appear to be fair. However, you do not have to be life’s victim.

You can, with ease, understand what these experiences come to teach and learn from the circumstances. You can, with ease, recognize each and every obstacle; and from such create clear objectives, goals and strategies for success. You can comprehend, with ease, how to play the game of life and WIN.

You co-create your life easily or with great difficulty. Realize the only way this world is going to get brighter is when you realize your “things are gonna be easier” begins with you. And yes my friend, that’s a hard pill to swallow.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Ref.: Jeremiah 29:11-13

Another year has come and gone. It’s time for those new-year resolutions, 2012 goals and plans. By now, you probably know how I feel about all of these. Resolutions can be made each and every day at any time of the year. And we, quite often, strive after goals that are fleeting and without clear objectives or clarity resulting in disappointment and greater pain.

As for plans, I, myself, have written a few to include a business plan, a marketing plan and a personal life-plan. Up to a few years ago, I was a strong believer. In my book, “Twelve Magical Keys to Help Women Live Life Abundantly,” I write about and discuss having S.M.A.R.T. goals and a plan in place to achieve success.

Let’s recap what S.M.A.R.T goals are, briefly. S.M.A.R.T. is an acronym which stands for goals or a plan that has goals that are:

Specific = The goals are clear and concise

Measurable = These are the steps taken to help you see where you are in the project, where you need to be, and how much money and time it will take until its completion.

Attainable = What will it take to reach the goal with the available resources?

Realistic = Is the goal practical, sensible or reasonable? And/or

Risk = How much risk is involved?

T = What is the timetable for the project including a completion date.

When I included this information in my book, I honestly believed that these steps were necessary. I still do. However, I must admit, my thinking has shifted or transformed to a newer or, what I’d like to believe, a higher way of thinking. I now believe in order to be successful in any endeavor you must have a new, additional type of plan. Please, if you have a few minutes journey with me here.

At the beginning of this piece I shared a Scripture from Jeremiah 29:11-13. This passage is basically saying that the Lord God, the Universe, Omnipotence, All Knowing, Magnificent Light and Love formulated a personal plan for your personal life. May I remind you, this God as well as His plan is not outside of you. God is in the DNA of every person. I find, the sooner you acknowledge this fact, the sooner you lift off.

So, if that plan is inside of you or in your D.N.A., how do you go about getting that plan on the inside to the outside so you can walk into the plan for your life or what I call your purpose and your calling?

Before we proceed, I need to share another passage of Scripture. “I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts. I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the LORD replied: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time, it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. Ref.: Habakkuk 2:1-3

Let me introduce you today to the H.E.A.R.T.© plan. The H.E.A.R.T© plan has five steps, like S.M.A.R.T goals. It helps you find and know the personal plan of God or the heart of God for your life which is simply based upon, “…the plan to prosper you and not harm you, to grant you hope and [an amazing] future.” Your plan is designed for only you. No one can take it or steal it away.

Here are the steps:

Hear the voice of God.

You must first understand the voice of God is within. Yes, he or she or whatever, whoever you envision God to be is Omnipotent, Omniscient, or all knowing, and Omnipresent. You must also realize that the all powerful, the all knowing and the every place at every time being is not separate from you. I cannot emphasize that enough. You must know if the mountains and the seas are part of the Godliness and greatness, you must also be. “To look to see what He will say,” mentioned in Habakkuk 2 vs. 1 is to gaze, glimpse, glance into yourself, your heart, your soul and hear the voice of God within.

When I was doing case-management work in California, I don’t know how many times I would walk into someone’s home and have to say, “Will you please turn the television off?” or “Please turn the radio down, and even, “Will you please ask the children to play outside until we are done?” I can hear God asking us the same. It’s impossible to have a heart-felt discussion with anyone with noisy distractions and undivided attention. The God within can’t communicate with you if you don’t make time and space for the communication. The “intuitive” voice, the “gut” feeling or fly-by thought that comes to you is also part of the God within attempting to speak to you. You must train yourself to listen being sure it is the voice of God within and not the ego voice.

Envision: So many women say to me, “I’m asking God for direction.” I then ask where do you want to go? What do you see? Can you see? Do you have an inner vision? You may be so damaged; drained and distraught you can’t see anything anymore. You see nothing but strife, grief and struggle. Your vision may be veiled. You may not be able to discern the ego from the God consciousness leading you into continued cycling, bad decisions, wasted money, and worst of all wasted time.

Your dream that travelled with you through the birth canal and through your D.N.A. may be buried. Be relieved in knowing though it may be sleeping, suffocating or stifled it is not dead. Not if you are reading this piece. It only has to be rekindled. How awesome!

We always write our vision, “….write down the revelation, the vision so he who heralds it or reads it runs with it.” Have you heard people say there is something magical about writing down your goals or creating a vision board? Well there is. It is found in Scripture. To “run” with it means: to bring or move quickly, to hurry. When you take the step to write your vision, to record what you have glanced into and seen, you can revisit and see your vision daily or weekly. This message imprints upon the conscious mind thereby being rooted in the subconscious mind bringing forth manifestation quickly, hurriedly and easily. More will be accomplished in your sleep with your vision at the subconscious than in your everyday routine of bus-i-ness.

Ask – “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me …” If you are willing to find the time to be silent, either by prayer or meditation, then you must also be willing to seek the answers to all the questions even the ones you think are forbidden.

I remember when growing up I was always told not to question God. When I became a woman, I asked, “Why not?” If God is my Teacher, and Scripture says he will listen then why can’t I ask? Scripture in Matthew 7:7 clearly tells us to not only ask but to seek and knock. Paraphrased, don’t just ask once but keep seeking and knocking, pounding on the door, if necessary, until you clearly see or hear what it is you need to know. Isn’t that what any good student does? They keep asking and researching until their understanding is clear. But after asking you must astutely LISTEN. Don’t try to over-talk or over-think the teacher. If you’re not supposed to know the answer or the answer is not timely, you will hear or intuitively know just that.

“When prayer is at its highest we wait in silence for God’s voice to us; we linger in His presence for His peace and His power to flow over us; we lean back in His everlasting arms and feel the serenity of perfect security in Him.” –William Barclay

So, if you desire, ask. If the vision is convoluted ask for clarity. If you require confirmation; that’s right, ask! Don’t stop seeking the answers within until all is clear. To step out before, will only lead to frustration, anguish and disappointment not just sometime; every time.

Rest–And in the seventh day He, God, rested. We now live in the seventh day and if we are willing to do the first three steps then we must also be willing to LET GO. (The letting go is really the magical piece.) We know it shall come to pass. It: the dream, the desire, may tarry or be delayed but it will come. Learning the magic of letting go may take you cycling or what I call going around the Mulberry Bush a few hundred times. If you’re anything like me, it may possibly take a good portion of your life; but, eventually, you’ll get so fatigued and so tired, if not sick, you will have to come to your end and you will rest.

And, lastly, here it is: The TRANSITION

You wake up one morning and you’re there. You’re where you’re supposed to be. You’re in the flow and you’re living your dream. The money is coming because you’re on course and more importantly you’re happy. In fact, you’re happy if you’re not making the money because, amazingly, all the good things promised are coming to you anyway. How so? Because the PLAN for your personal life or what is known as your purpose or your calling has overtaken you and you have become one.

This journey is not without bumps, wrong turns, or disappointments. I would be a fraud to tell you otherwise. You may go two steps forward and three steps backward. You might have to go back to the hearing and asking from time to time. In fact, I would suggest you do so every morning before you begin your day. You will most likely need someone to walk you through. But I promise you, you will transition into your dream, your hope, your business and your relationships stronger, wiser, happier, whole, healthy, filled with hope and prosperity. After all, that is the plan for your amazing life.

Why not start 2012 on target! Find out how to fully implement the H.E.A.R.T © plan in your life today. Whether you are challenged with love, finances, health, self-expression, career or weight blockages, this amazing life filled with miraculous manifestation and abundance each and every day is for every one. Why not get on board right now?

We all know the story of the birth of Jesus all too well. There is no proof of whether there were three or thirty-three wise men; but, we know they followed the star to Bethlehem where they found the baby Jesus.

I, like many, have rethought or awakened to a new meaning or I should say a new understanding of what this birth story was and still is all about.

Let me side track for just a moment. Having been raised in the “church,” I am the daughter of both an evangelist and a reverend; I have come to love God and Christ with all my heart. But, I’ve asked questions like why did Jesus come? What was His purpose? What did He come to teach? Now, I’m familiar with the usual answers: He came to save the world, to redeem us from our sins, teaching us it is possible to live righteously. I’ve never been fully satisfied with these.

In the late eighties, my natural father, Rev. Robert L. Clark, laid his hands on me relinquishing his big, black worn Bible ordaining me for his unfinished work before he passed. I wanted no part of his “unfinished work” at the time; and, I told him so in spite of him lying on his death bed. I will never forget his last words to me looking at me with eyes that had already seen into another realm, “Sweet heart, we got it all wrong.” Dad’s words have haunted me forever. What did he mean? What was he trying to tell me? I have been seeking and searching for the answers ever since.

Now back to the meaning of Christmas. We know that Israel looked for a savior to redeem them and save them from the oppressive government and system that had enslaved them. We know that the birth of Christ, who was to be this savior, was prophesied by the prophets and recorded in the Old Testament. John the Baptist came before Him proclaiming, “Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven has come near.” Ref. Matthew 3:1.

According to Scripture, we understand there is no mention of Jesus from the time he is born until the age of twelve where he taught in the Temple and then there is no more significant mention of Him until his age of thirty.

At the age of thirty, we read of Him performing His first miracle being anointed or released by Mary to do so. (Okay, that statement should create controversy by itself.) So, here in my inquisitiveness again, I ask, “What was Jesus doing from birth to age thirty?”

Was He praying or meditating all the time or did He play and get into mischief like most kids? Did Jesus know His purpose at birth? Did He always walk in His power from day one? During the undocumented years, was He possibly discovering who He was, realizing His passion and His calling? Teaching at the age of twelve, He was obviously gifted to teach. Was He awakening to the fact that He was not only the son of man; but the son of God on a great mission with a great purpose?

I don’t know if anyone can answer these questions emphatically since there is no solid documentation to prove such. In my research, what I find is “nobody knows.” But, may I leave my hypothesis on the table?

It is taught in the Christian circle He, the Christ, came to show us the way. In my particular circle there is a song we sing with lyrics that go, “He came from Heaven to earth, to show [us] the way.” In Psalm 25:4-5 David prays, “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.” Psalm 85:7 David prayed, “Show us your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us your salvation.” If you don’t know, David is in the lineage of Jesus.

When Jesus performed miracles He often said, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

May we now take a closer look at the word show? According to Thesaurus: English online it means to: demonstrate, illustrate, explain and give you an idea about, prove, be evidence for, and confirm. I believe you know where I’m headed with this.

Could it be Jesus came to demonstrate, to illustrate, to give you and I an idea of what it means to be Christ minded? Did He come to exhibit and to display the power, the majesty, the love that could be manifested in man. He was, and I believe is, the son of God who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God. Ref. Philippians 2:6.

Is it possible he wanted to show you and I if we put our own selfishness, self-centeredness and greed aside, and make the sacrifice of first finding and then walking in our purpose and calling for just a short while (three years for Him) we would rise to our glory: magnificence, splendor, beauty, wonder, grandeur, brilliance?

We idolize, dramatize and re-enact the story of Christ’s birth ignoring and negating the power and true significance of this event. Instead, we choose to hold onto and believe we are lowly sinners, saved by grace not wanting to see, hear or change, calling it heresy when anyone sacrifices their life to point to the evidence that what He lived is for you and I to also live and experience.

Instead, we choose to live in poverty. Instead, we choose unfulfilled, lonely, disempowered, mediocre lives running from one workshop, conference, and webinar to another—always seeking and learning never coming into the knowledge of the truth. Instead we choose to wait until we die or are raptured away hoping for a better place somewhere else delaying and negating the abundant life He has already come to give us right here, right now on this planet earth.

I implore you, today, to take just one moment and look at this momentous occasion, the birth of Jesus Christ—Savior and Anointed One— with a new perspective. May the meaning of His birth, birth forth what has been purposed, planned, and set in motion for your life today and forever more. May you become the star that is followed. May you become the love that is sacrificing. May you put aside any selfish motives and become a savior to some hurting, lost, and confused soul needing healing. May your hands and mouth become anointed. And, may you understand the power of your own mind, the strength of your own creative powers and the loving power of God for the good and the glory of this world! May you become abundant living. For He came, that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. Ref.: John 10:10

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Have your expectations not come forth? Have you been disappointed in your dreams? Have you heard of or seen family, friends, and associates lose their homes, their jobs and their money?

Often time you have big ideas and dreams of possibilities for your life that, seemingly, never come to fruition. At least, not in the time frame you’ve expected or believed. Have you possibly thought something was wrong with you or wrong with the God you believe? Have you ever lost faith?

I know this is the Christmas season and everything is supposed to be merry and bright. But, this is also the season of severe depression, suicide, and abuse. I never, ever write about anything I haven’t experienced. I may not have studied human behavior or psychology on a Doctorate level; but, I can tell you this, dear one, this woman has experienced life on a master’s level. I don’t write from an elevated place never having suffered, never having been wounded, never having been depressed, anxious or fear filled. I write from my reality.

We are living in turbulent times. We are living in times where everything that can be shaken is being shaken: our homes, our careers, nature, and even our scared religious beliefs and systems. What do I mean by being shaken? Everything seems to be going through a resistance, stamina or pressure test. In other words, pressure is being applied to every area of our lives and sometimes even our very being feels as if it’s going to pop. Is there anyone out there who can give an “Amen?”

Earthquakes of 8.9 in Japan and tsunamis to follow; Hurricane Irene 2011; deadly tornados in Alabama, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Georgia, as well as quakes on the East Coast felt in Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland and all the way up the East Coast.

Inflation is headed toward hyper inflation. There are government, and church scandals. Justice is a joke and financial institutions (MF Global for one) are fraudulent and corrupt. Too many are still without meaningful, satisfying employment. The ability to live happy, fulfilled lives; forget about abundant lives, seems to be a fantasy or something someone touts to sell a book or seminar. Long-term relationships and friendships are coming to closure. Struggle, compromise and chaos have replaced ease of living, transparency, and accord.

There are lots of theories as to why, how come and what will culminate. I say time will tell. But, if I may share one word of thought with you today that one word would be HOPE. Again, I am not a woman who speaks from other’s experiences. I have experienced pain on magnitude levels—not glorifying my trials by any means. I believe my experiences have made me strong and powerful; but, even more importantly, I can stand in the face of any adversity. I can grab hands with a sister or a brother for that matter and say, “Hold on. You can make it. You will make it. I will help you make it.”

Now, if you read the post before, you’d understand there were times when I, myself, wanted to give up, pull the covers over my head and sleep right on out of this life. I have to also tell you it was the times when I had made huge demands of myself and the Universe, God. What I mean by this is when I had declared, “I AM standing on the promises,” once I had made my personal statements and spoken them aloud for days, and once I demanded change—positive change in my life, for my life, my own personal tornado seemed to take me up and throw me up against a tree several miles away. I just believe in keeping it real. But I wouldn’t give up. I kept believing and kept hoping. I kept seeing the possibilities.

Way deep down in the solace of my soul when there were no words to speak, when my own sanity seemed questionable, and the conscious mind said, “give up,” there was always hope. Hope that somehow, somewhere God All Mighty would send me someone from somewhere to speak into my Spirit and help me remember. Hope I would rise up from my own personal bed of affliction and not just hobble but run. Hope the day would bring the promises of “Yea” and “Amen.” Hope that I would find the answers within to accomplish what He has declared about me and for me before the foundation of this earth was laid. Hope that mankind would somehow see what abundance, prosperity, and wealth lies around him making it needless to fight, compete, envy, and harm one another.

Hope has no limited time. Hope comes in all shapes and forms, colors and sizes. It shows up in a message on television, the radio or a billboard. Hope transmits in a phone call from a friend you haven’t spoken to in months. Hope believes, “In spite of what I see and hear, I AM rooted and I AM grounded. I AM focused. I AM capable and the evidence shall appear.”

Hope says, “I AM not forgotten.” Hope shouts, “Justice for all and justice will win.” Hope says, “Truth shall reign,” and Hope declares, “I don’t know how, and I don’t know when but I know!”

We live in a time when you need to know what is true for your own personal life. No one can lead you down their reality or their path and make it work for you. Your DNA is your DNA. What life has for you is what life has for you. Your reality and your truth is yours.

In spite of all the shaking, in the midst of all the negativity, in the realm of the impossible—keep hope at your center. It stems from your spirit, shoots through the atmosphere and reaches into the galaxies only to radiate back into you. It is unlimited. It is perpetual. When you lose all hope, you become nothing more than a vapor, without purpose, passion, or ability. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12.

If you are drowning in a sea of hopelessness, remember this: every day you open your eyes it’s a new day of opportunity, grace and mercy. Every day is a new beginning. In fact, I believe every moment is a new beginning. You don’t have to wait for 2012 or for someone to declare a special time in your life. You declare this day, this moment, this right now opportunity as your new beginning. Now is the time!

Hope always springs eternal. And no matter what life may look like right now here is an outreached hand waiting to grasp yours—ready to assist in pulling you into your incredible, marvelous, and glorious light. Here is a heart ready to beat with your heart if you are ready to welcome your truthful rhythm. Here is a word to encourage, motivate, inspire and help you find the magnificent God within if you are ready to embrace your marvelous change.

In the last several weeks, I have gone through another major change that consisted of a physical, mental and spiritual shift. And for those of you who are not aware, shifts occur during your entire lifetime. They occur as quickly and rapidly as you are ready and willing to experience these momentous occasions.

Before the onset of this last, I found myself feeling as if I were dying. I felt as if nothing was going right, nothing was working, everything was awry and I actually questioned the very existence of God. I had made an exceptionally strong demand on the Universe and it was only natural for there to be a false appearance of all hell breaking out when actually everything was going just right. But interesting enough, even though I knew this truth, because I was smack dab in the middle of what seemed to be a muddle at the time, I was quite oblivious of this truth.

After feeling like the earth was caving in upon me for several weeks and literally wanting to die in order to be free from the suffocating (I must sincerely admit I’d been around this Mulberry tree during other shifts in my life) a very special friend phoned. Some of you may know her, Susan Murphy Milano. We had an in-depth conversation her reminding me of the truths by which we both live and serve. I am grateful she helped me recover my life.

A few days later, with a renewed outlook and desire to press on, I came upon an Internet page with the following statement, “I can see that my old model of reality is broken. I now ask to be shown what I’ve been missing. Let me begin to see reality as it truly is. Let my beliefs accurately reflect the true nature of reality.” I honestly wish to give credit to the author, but if anyone were to make me an offer of one-million dollars to tell them who wrote this, I honestly couldn’t. So, I give credit to whom credit is due.

Discovering this statement supports the fact that the Universe, whom I call God, will answer and give you what you need, when you need it if you just ask. I made a commitment to the above declaration each morning and almost instantly, a road opened and my path straightened.

Now this is the fun part. Here is where I rattle “the religious.” But first, let me define what I mean by the religious. The religious are those who have made theory, tradition and laws their golden calf and love to tout off Scripture but do not live by the two most important Commandments, “Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and your neighbor as yourself.” Living by the two allows you to effortlessly fulfill the others.

Now let’s proceed. I’ve been a woman of great faith. I have believed God in dire situations from my son being incarcerated in one of the most racist counties in California in the 90’s for a crime where he actually was the victim to believing my husband would survive when given only three weeks to live being pronounced terminally ill. He lived eleven months instead of the sentence given.

I have also been a woman who has studied the Scripture in depth. I give thanks to Dr. Churck Kruze for introducing me to a loving, kind, and forgiving God, Dr. Clarence McClendon for helping me understand that I had the power to enhance my life, and Dr. Willliam D. Hinn for helping me remember I was born one of the many sons of God in the earth.

However, I came to the realization, after pressing pass the emotion of God and into the knowledge of God, that in order for God to be everywhere at every time and all knowing, each man has to abide in Him and Him in every person. God always uses man. We are his incarnate vessels. The very breath of God is the several hundred breaths each of us take each and every day by grace. How could there be any separation?

With my new understanding that everything is made out of matter or atoms including man (Adam) which is energy, how could I not be God? God is pure energy and pure energy is light. All you need to do is look at our sun, moon, stars and galaxies to prove this. If a doctor or biologist takes a sample of a man’s blood and holds it under a microscope, what does he see? If his cells are healthy, they glow with light and energy.

So, quickly, in a moment of a twinkling of an eye, I went from praying to the God in Heaven to praying to the God within—God in the earth. Suddenly, the Scripture of John 17: 20-23 (Scripture noted in footnote) became life. Swiftly, I apprehended, transitioned, evolved from head knowledge (thinking) to heart knowledge (knowing) that God in his seventh day, after we together created earth and everything necessary for our co-existence, we rested. I live now in the seventh day. It is up to me, in the body, to go forth in the knowledge, the power, and the rest. And, while everything is created, named and finished whether in the present or in the future, I must take authority co-creating with Him.

There has been the next elevation of enlightenment, encompassed by great humility allowing me confidence, peace, and an outlook that amazingly requires very little effort on my behalf. It’s the knowing that I must ask, believe and then go forth in peace. It’s the knowing I don’t have to make something happen and while I need to be committed to quieting myself and my soul to hear the voice within that guides me 24/7, I am at-one-ment with the Universe. I know, with a steadfast confidence that everything is working for my good and the good of all those I come in contact.

I know I am worthy of good, peace, love and abundance; and, subconsciously and consciously I will create my Garden of Eden. I know that ninety-percent of my decisions are made on a subconscious level; so, being worry free, filled with love and knowing I am one with the Universe allows every good thing to come to fruition.

The secret is reconnecting to the God within. The God without—somewhere far, far away is finished. Christ, the son of man, the first born of many sons, as well as the second and the thirty-third millionth is seated in dominion, glory and power if they believe they are worthy of such. There is no fancy prayer, forty-day fast, sacrifice or act you need to perform to earn what is rightfully yours (right hand of God). What must come is the passing of your own tests of worthiness to enter through the veil of darkness—the veil of the mind separating you from God consciousness.

You cry heresy. I cry freedom. Christ was labeled a heretic teaching the Kingdom of God is with men. I have heard people say God descended and walked with men; therefore, Heaven was with men at that time. However, I believe God became incarnate, personified in the flesh, to teach us, to show us and guide us into at-one-ment with Him which is the Kingdom of God or Heaven.

Many of us know at-one-ment or atonement to mean the penance or the reparation Christ paid for men’s sins. Then, if the price for the forgiveness of our sins has been paid, it is high time we learn to forgive ourselves, love ourselves and be happy with each day in this life we are blessed to experience. You cannot do this feeling or believing you are a lowly sinner, unworthy of love and unworthy of the gift freely given. You and the Father: spirit, energy, light and love are one—entwined, with nothing being able to ever separate you from His love—nothing but the lack of love for yourself and others.

Every ache, every pain in my body is gone. All the mental torment of “how“ is vanished. All the work of trying to make “it” happen is nowhere to be found. It is no longer a head belief but a heart reality. Be still and know. Know that you are at-one-ment with God, at-one-ment with yourself and life, as it is meant to be, will unfold in wonder-ment revealing life more abundant right before your very eyes.

Will there be another shift? Absolutely! I invite and welcome the next. In the meantime, I take one breath at a time, live each day as the last in the now, being still in my mind, my soul and emotion, co-creating and knowing.

New King James—John 17:20-23 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

So, what do you do when you can’t find the words to explain to those around you that the circumstance, the situation, the grip of the condition is so tight you can hardly get enough air into your lungs to keep breathing? What do you do when you can’t stop the tears and every waking moment reminds you of the pain? What do you do when you can’t say a word and you’re so tired of the battle that all you want to do is lie down and give up? What do you do when the systems of this world fail you?

These are some of the words I’ve had to remember and speak to myself in the past, “Lord, You, are my Sheppard; I shall not be in want! You make me to lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside the still waters. You restore my soul. You lead me in the paths of righteousness for your name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

And when the pressure increased, I remembered: “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9.

I have come to realize that my answer to the call or agreeing with my purpose has not come without a price. Neither does yours. I realize I could not emphatically encourage you or sincerely empathize with you if I, myself, did not experience life’s ups and downs. I could not teach you how to soar in the storm unless I knew how to soar in the storm. I could not teach you how to turn adversities into victories unless I face adversity and turn it into victory. I could not teach abundant living, if I did not know and understand abundant living-in spite of illusions in the conscious mind. I could not teach miracles and if I did not know how to poise myself for miracles.

I wish today I could hand you a quick fix, honestly. I wish today I could make all the wrongs that life has brought you, right. I wish I could take away all of your pain, immediately. I wish I could turn your cards of life into a royal straight flush. I can’t. However, You can! But, this is what I can do. I can encourage you to hold on. I can tell you and show you how to not give up and not give in. I can lead you toward love, light and healing. And, if you choose such, you can and will walk into abundant living-in this life, not just the next. You will experience love, justice and peace in this world not just the next. You will experience JOY and HAPPINESS not just later, but now. Yes, in this life!

Now, more than ever, you’ve got to stretch and exercise your faith. And, when the systems of this world give you a resounding no, go to the center of you-tap into the very essence of you, and listen. Listen until you hear a resonating YES and hear how you’re supposed to proceed. I don’t care what your doctor has told you, it doesn’t matter what the judge’s verdict or sentence, or even what your mind-chatter or donkey talk is telling you. Today-Hold On, BELIEVE, DON’T GIVE UP, and DON’T GIVE IN. Remember this, if you want a miracle you have to be in motion. If you’ve done all you know to do, then STAND knowing there is a power greater and bigger than you, than me, and the system. And though sometimes it may seem as if all Creator doesn’t hear, He’s forsaken you and left you to go it alone, rest assured, He is right there-right in the middle of your circumstance. Hold on to your faith just a little while longer.

Have you asked over and over again, “Why is it that I have done all the work and prepared everything in excellence (presentations, web sites, business cards), made contacts, taken marketing and sales courses, etc., but nothing seems to be happening? Come on. Honestly. Is that dream, that desire you want so very badly delayed to the point you want to give it up?

It happens to many of us. We pray, mediate, create a vision board every three to six months but nothing manifests-nothing but what appears to be more bad news. There can be a few reasons for this. I’m going to mention a few but I want to give an in-depth explanation to only one today.

The Law of Substitution: You desire something to happen but that something is not yours. For example, you’re in a relationship and he or she doesn’t seem interested in taking the relationship to the next level. You’ve been dating a while, have a great time together but that’s as far as it goes. You will even ask someone to pray, agree, or set intention with you to no avail. Reason: He or she is not for you. The delay is allowing you to find the strength and the courage to break the relationship, in love and light, allowing the real love of your life to come in.

A Universal Demand Has Been Made: You desire something, it is in your purpose and destiny. You understand and realize this important fact and do all the internal and inspirational work to assist you in getting where you desire. You, therefore, stand in this position possibly asking someone to agree, declare, and set intention with you. Shortly afterward, it appears as if all hell is breaking loose. Reason: In actuality, everything is on target, on course and taking you right where you are supposed to be. You just have to persist through the appearance of hell.

And then we have what I call the The Silent Conspirator. You talk about it, you laugh with it at parties, and you share it with your best friend. After a while, the Silent Conspirator takes up residence in the deepest depths. It takes on its own personality becoming your best friend, and with time, it becomes the plotter and schemer who hides behind the darkest, secret veil of your mind.

Let me ask you this. Have you ever said things like, “I don’t care if it kills me I’m not going to (fill in the blank)?” What about, “I love him/her/them to death.” Here’s one I bet you’re familiar with, “It, he, she or they make me sick!”

After a while, these little not-so-innocent cliches, repeated like prayer, become laws written upon the stones of your heart and mind. You might be thinking, “Well, I don’t say that kind of stuff often; or even, “I only think that stuff but I’d never, ever say them aloud.” I have news for you, it doesn’t matter. The very fact that you are familiar with these phrases probably means you have said them. And, if you have said them with any real emotion, you have given the statements the power needed to set them into motion.

I’ll share my Silent Conspirator. I was a corporate girl for many, many years-for too many years. I was of the generation it didn’t matter what the girl had her degree in, you were going to work as a teacher, a secretary or a nurse. My degree was in programming. After graduating, I proudly marched into the Human Resources office of a major computer technology company, no longer heard of these days. I filled out my application and they asked when I would like to schedule my typing test. I gave them a date without hesitation. I had myself and, more importantly, a small child to feed. I worked hard, in excellence and showed up every day until I landed a position at the top.

With that topness, a made-up word of course, I came to realize with the position came a new perspective. I became disillusioned, disappointed and disgruntled. My deepest desire was to get out. I quickly pursued a position with a Christian nonprofit only to find it was the same. The only difference was they did what they did in the name of Christ. So, I drew up the resignation letter once again. I was out.

I knew at that time, the only way I was going to be paid what I was really worth; be somewhat happy with working long and hard; and doing it the right way, I was going to have to start my own business. So, I struck out doing everything by the book. I took classes, I made contacts. Business cards, website and presentations were excellent. At first it worked, but soon everything and I mean everything began to dry up.

I reorganized, re-planned, and reinvented. I had S.M.A.R.T (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely) goals, a great business plan, and a strong marketing plan. I had one of the best business coaches, attended some of the best business conferences with the best financial gurus in the nation. I even had strong support. I couldn’t understand what had gone awry.

That was until one day when I threw up my wearied two hands and said, “I give up! I let go!” Now, how many times had I said that in the past and then picked up every single piece all over again. But, this time I had to truly let go. I had attempted to force, control, and hold on so tightly that every single resource was fighting back and drying up. At that point in time, I had a choice-freak out or trust.

I chose to trust. And with that, the first thing I had to do was go inward and learn to love and trust me all over again. I had to realize that the power was inward and not outward and no one else’s responsibility but mine. I had to learn that I was at the end of the road and there was no other teacher but the teacher in me. I let go and promised that I was going to live the ultimate purpose-ENJOY life.

Two weeks later, I awakened with an epiphany. That’s right I had a shift in my sleep. Once I announced to the Universe, whom I call God, that I was letting go and re-learned how to trust myself and the God in me, it was only a few days, with ease, that I Awakened. What was causing my delay, my stuckness was brought right into the forefront of my consciousness. No more little “demon” hiding, lurking, or sabotaging.

Here is exactly what I realized in that Awakening moment. I had spoken these destructive words far too many times. “I will never go back to corporate. I don’t care if I lose everything, I’m never going back. I’ll live on the streets before I do.”

Not only had I thought or spoken those words but I had spoken them with such conviction and emotion I had co-created law and destiny for my life. It didn’t matter what I did-I had become. So after my epiphany, I immediately asked the Divine within what affirmation could I create to repent-to turn around, to help eradicate what I had set in motion with fury.

Instantly, I heard in my heart that which would reverse my calamitous fate. “I keep all that I have and I receive all that I desire while my business blossoms, blooms and thrives.” I made a commitment to speak out loud, declaring my divine intention, at least, three times a day for one month. Shortly afterward, the Universe sent me a powerful teacher to remind me that God is a God of peace. Yes, He is many things but at the moment I needed the “I AM” of peace.

Going forward, I made the strong intention of not being rocked and rolled by what I saw or what I heard. My eyes were on the prize and I was pressing toward the goal. Did that mean creating longer To-Do lists, working longer hours or brain storming with my great support system? Not at all! It meant reaching out to others: encouraging, motivating; it meant being happy for and with them while creating powerful intentions on their behalf, as well as mine. And, when my heart heard write, I wrote. When it heard call, I called. And, when I heard sit in silence and take in the awesome beauty surrounding me in the Heavenly Rockies, I did just that-sat in awe and listened.

From that moment on, I realized I didn’t have to make anything happen. All I had to do was BE and receive what Divine had already created for me. Once the Silent Conspirator had been snuffed out and exposed, I knew without a doubt-firmly and on a solid foundation that I had come to the end of life as I had known. The old chapter of life was closing. I was embarking upon the new. A life filled with the unfolding of every dream come true and where the desires of my heart were no longer a craving or a wish but a fulfilled reality that was orchestrated and designed before time.

“Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never harm you.” LIE−A GREAT LIE. Words kill and words give life. Come along with me and tell me which of the following words are empowering, increase your self-esteem, and make you feel like the Divine being you were created to be: intelligent, kind, stupid, resilient, healthy, confident, wealthy, idiot, resourceful, creative, good-for-nothing, fool, expressive.

The words that empower are obvious, yes? But, how many of us have experienced the words of death—the words that keep us from excelling, have produced low self-esteem, fear and doubt?

We are now beginning to understand the power of the spoken word. Words are like a magic wand. They can be filled with beauty, joy, peace, and life or they can be filled with hatred, disdain, pain and destruction. They will motivate, encourage, and assist us in reaching our potential and our dreams—give birth. Or, they will de-motivate, discourage, stifle and hinder our dreams—produce death.

If you suffer from low self-esteem, feelings of inadequacy, or inferiority reflect back over your childhood. You can probably think of several damaging and hurtful statements directed at you by a parent, sibling or even a teacher. Statements like:

* You’re nothing and you’re never going to be nothing,
* You’re no good just like your (fill in the blank),
* Shut up and be quiet,
* You’re too ugly, too fat, or too stupid.

There are far too many of us who are all too familiar with the above, painful statements.

Many of us have not realized that our words were a form of dynamite and should be handled carefully with wisdom and understanding. We have hurled words of anger, resentment or self-pity into the atmosphere and then wondered why life was so difficult. In Scripture it is said, “For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Now, there are three compartments of the mind: the subconscious, conscious and super-conscious. The subconscious mind is not immediately available to the consciousness. It is raw energy without control. It is the Niagara Falls of our mind. Fear, worry, anxiety, inferiority, low self-esteem, or positive emotions and thoughts are ceaseless, never sleeping, always at work.

It has been determined that more than 90% of your decisions are made from a subconscious level. The subconscious mind is created from your experiences, people’s and your own words. Old subconscious thought patterns, created out of experience of action or words, must be radicalized, if negative. How do you know that your subconscious mind is filled with negativity? Look around. You create exactly what you think known as the Law of Attraction. Affirmations assist in impressing and imprinting upon the subconscious.

The conscious mind perceives, apprehends, or notices with a degree of controlled thought and observation. From consciousness is where we observe and experience life for what it is whether it be sickness, disease, death, good health, wealth, and perfect self-expression. It is your world, the creation of thought and word.

Most of us have heard of and are quite comfortable with the two compartments mentioned. However, there is one other. It is the elevated mind, the mind of supreme intelligence which is within each man. It is the realm of perfect ideas, the perfect pattern, and the Divine Design: It is called the super-conscious or the God-conscious.

The super-conscious usually comes into your mind as an ideal that is too big to obtain, the “too good to be true” idea. Supreme Intelligence lives within each and every one of us and you are the channel for its expression. These are often finished and prefect ideas that must come through you and not to you; those defining moments that are often experienced the first thing in the morning when waking from your sleep state. In order to experience the super-conscious or God-conscious: perfect self-expression; healthy self-esteem; health; wealth; and abundance, continually, you must learn to impress the sub-conscious overcoming any and all obstacles that have been set. Affirmations are an excellent means to an end.

Here are a few powerful affirmations to get you out of your starting gate:

* I put the past behind me. I release it and live for today, in today. I live in the now.
* I AM healthy, wealthy, and wise. I Am on the road to happy success.
* I AM wide awake to my good. I will not be troubled and fearful.
* I reject every negative word I have spoken of myself, every negative word spoken toward me, and every negative thought I have of myself.
* I AM fearfully and awesomely made; whole, and without blemish.
* I have riches, life, joy, and peace in abundance. No one can take them from me.
* I let go of worn-out conditions and worn out things. Divine order is established in my mind, body, and my affairs.
* I AM the mirror of perfection, goodness, faith, hope and love.

Here is an important note. Affirmations cannot be practiced once or twice and affect the subconscious. They must be practiced daily, ideally, two to three times a day. It is proven that if this practice is repeated sixty or ninety times, not only will you have a good habit but, the subconscious will be transformed and then the conscious mind will begin to experience and see all of its new beliefs opening the door to the amazing God-conscious with ease. So, you can begin to see positive change within as little as one month if practiced two to three times a day.

I strongly suggest that you create your own powerful, life-changing affirmations to find and build your life of abundance. Use the above statements as a jumping board. Also, you can speak the statements out loud with power and conviction, turning your affirmations into declarations, and see amazing miracles manifest into your Divine life even more quickly, easily, and powerfully.

As I sat listening to the news and its prediction for new oil pricing due to the current events in the Middle East, a popular song from the past popped into my mind. In fact, this song was quite popular during the turbulent sixties. It was sung by the very popular Temptations, “Ball of Confusion.” It was the third or fourth time it had come to me in the past few weeks; so, I turned to my information glut, the Internet, and searched for its lyrics.

It didn’t take long to realize why this experience of song had shown up. This popular group sang about racism, hate, revenge, politicians making impossible promises, demonstrations, unemployment, and fear.

I had, personally, stopped watching the news. In fact, I had written to my audience to stop watching the news because of its negativity. However, I realized I was quickly becoming uniformed and ill informed. I made the choice to not only get my news from the television networks, but I made the choice to also read, collect information and then come to my own conclusions.

So, how was I to experience abundant living in the middle of it all-in a world gone completely, absolutely mad? If we add child molestation and pornography, human trafficking, drug-gang wars, intimate-partner abuse, murder, and rape the only possible conclusion one can come to is it is totally impossible, right? Wrong. Absolutely wrong!

To live an abundant life is a choice. I choose to believe that there is a greater power, a higher resonance and vibration that lives in each and every one of us. I believe not only can we demand the greater good in ourselves, but we can command the good in each and every person to shine forth. We can choose love and light; and, in choosing we not only give out love and light, but we push love and light into the darkest and remotest corners of the Universe: to hearts, minds, and souls. In turn, we must be available to receive love and light that is sent out and gifted by others. Thereby, a circle or a cycle is created: a ball of light, vibration, contentment, confidence and creativity.

Perfect love casts out all fear, all confusion, all doubt and anxieties. It covers all faults, short comings and offenses. Understand, living from love does not mean you accept the atrocities of this world, never say no, or cease standing up for what is right and what is justice. Living from love or becoming love is seeking out justice, truth, being a voice for the voiceless, healing the broken hearted, and bringing encouragement and hope to the down trodden. It is making all wrongs right from a place of high vibration and energy not fear, hate, or revenge. It is living from a place of faith, hope and love for yourself and others.

What happens when we choose to act out of fear? We get more fear. When we choose to move from hate, we get more hate. When we choose to act out of revenge we get vengeance from others. Choose to flow from love, and we get? You’ve got it. It’s called the Law of Reciprocity. Life reciprocates exactly what you put out.

I recently found myself in a situation where if I had known the outcome, I would have chosen another path. My coach, who is excellent at delivering me from my self-pity asked, “What would Jesus do?” I snidely remarked, “I don’t know,” annoyed by the question. Afterward, however, I gave the question a long thought. The answer was simple, He would choose love.

While I am not by any means attempting to convert, I am highly suggesting that in the midst of all the “ball of confusion” in your life and in your world, it is possible to experience abundant living. It is possible to have peace that passes all understanding and absolutely ridiculous joy, gratitude, self-love, wealth, health, and perfect self-expression.

At times, life comes at us cold and hard. Many times life doesn’t seem fair. Often times it seems like awful tragedies and atrocities happen to really good people. I am a woman acquainted with suffering and grief. But, I will also tell you this, those experiences made me stronger. They aided in expanding me and making me who and what I am today. And on the road back to me, on the recovery trail, I passed hate, bitterness, anger, fear, low self-esteem and guilt. But, I eventually found the God in me-love.

I had to come to the place of choosing to let go; I had to choose to love and choose to forgive. Yes, I had to choose to love the very people who had turned my world upside down. At times, I fought hard and long. I even fought with God. Who was He to tell me to love my enemies? What did He know? Yes, I went there.

I know it doesn’t seem possible or easy. But it is and can be. Go within your heart. Hear the “voice” within. Stand still and know. That standing still doesn’t mean doing nothing. It does mean, however, being firm in your beliefs and convictions and not allowing emotion to sway or overtake you. You are the essence of all Creation, all Love, and all Light.

You may choose to believe the world is at its end; or, you may choose to believe the ball of confusion will bring us to an explosion of light, a new consciousness, a new beginning. You may choose to believe you’re a victim in this world or you may choose to be an agent of change. You may choose to live in chaos, confusion or craziness or you may choose to live a life of abundance: love, joy, peace, happiness, health, wealth and perfect self-expression. These attributes are a choice. What’s yours?

Some of you may have immediately come to read my New Year’s resolution because you are curious; others because you may be a little competitive. But, I believe most of you who are reading this realize I write from a higher place, a place of inspiration, healing and love and your lives have been touched or changed because of it. So, regardless of the reason, you are reading this piece. You are here. So, are you ready? Here it is—I boldly proclaim my New Year’s resolution for all to read.

I have none. That’s right I have not made a New Year’s resolution for 2011, just like I didn’t make one in 2010, 2009, or any time after 1990. I, personally, do not believe in a “New Year’s resolution.” Why on earth would I wait until the end of a year, a season; or, wait for the beginning of a new year to make a resolution? Wouldn’t that be like cheating myself out of life—delaying the promises, the hope, and the abundance that has been set for me before the beginning of time?

Let’s analyze the word resolution. A quick easy look online at the English Thesaurus gives us four words: decree, promise, resolve and lastly the word solution. As we take a deeper look at the four words decree is to declare something or a thing, to make a decision, a motion or ruling. When one makes a promise, they make a pledge, oath, and/or vow. A closer look at the word resolve gives us: determination, steadfastness, tenacity, and perseverance. Solution is an answer, an end, upshot and outcome.

My online Merriam Webster provides several definitions for “resolution” the first being the act or process of resolving:

the act of answering: solving

the act of determining

the passing of a voice from a dissonant to a consonant tone or the progression of a chord from dissonance to consonance.

Let’s not stop while we’re on a roll. Let’s analyze Merriam’s definition a little closer. Let’s look at definition (3) shall we? :the passing of a voice from a dissonant (incongruous, harmonically unresolved) to a consonant tone (being in agreement or harmony: free from elements making for discord) or the progression of a chord (three or more musical tones sounded simultaneously) from dissonance (lack of agreement; especially: inconsistency between the beliefs one holds or between one’s actions and one’s beliefs; an instance of such inconsistency or disagreement.) to consonance (harmony or agreement among components.)

In a nutshell, what is a New Year’s Resolution? An incongruent, harmonically unresolved chord (sound/voice) promising, vowing to make changes or hold to solutions that will take one to a congruent, harmonious place and/or position if one is determined, steadfast and persistent.

I hope I haven’t lost you in the definition. It was provided to make you see how ridiculous it is to wait until a specific time to decree and declare the promises of God for our lives. Why would I wait until the beginning of a new year to make a conscious decision that will positively affect my life? Why would I wait until a specific time of year to make a promise or vow that would take me from incongruent behavior, thinking, and actions to a place of congruency—a life filled with harmony, peace, abundance, and freedom?

Am I that self-loathing—so filled with self-hate and doubt that I must wait for an end of an old era/season or the beginning of a new to take a leap of faith at changing my life? Am I so deep in my delusions, illusions and phantoms that I have to have something so marked as a new year to awaken me from my pit of stinking thinking or as I would say in my N.Y. accent stinkin, thinkin.

No! I realize that each and every day is made up of new moments. 8:00 AM is a new moment. Twelve Noon is a new moment and so is 12:10 PM a new moment. Each moment I take a breath I have a blessed opportunity to make a resolution. Yes, there is a season for everything, but can I not declare that season at anytime? Have I not been given the power?

Do not assume because I have no New Year’s resolution I am not resolving. I believe that no one remains the same. We are either growing or dying. I don’t believe people can be stagnant. Water becomes stagnant not living, breathing things. Therefore, if I realize Tuesday, January 18th at 8:00 A.M. that I need to live from inspiration versus what is expected by others or by what I think I should do, I will make a Tuesday, January 18th 8:00 A.M. resolution. My declaration, “I am living, from this day forward, in a God-given place of inspiration doing what I believe is for me.”

I believe the reason we have created such a thing as a “New Year’s resolution” is because it gives us a distinct time mark for promise to change. We can then look back three months, six months and a year from then and say, “I failed,” or worse, “I failed again.” Great if you’re tenacious, steadfast and you succeed. But, more times than not, we do not. Diet anyone?

What happens if I take the time mark away? What happens if the measuring device disappears? What happens if I “fail” or fall at 3 pm Monday, and I get back up right away? I attempt my life-lesson, again, consciously aware of the falling. I declare, decree, and promise myself, the God of the Universe and the God within that I’m going to try it again and believe I will succeed this time so help me God. Could I, would I possibly be successful at whatever it is I believe I am worthy enough to accomplish?

Oh! Well! There I go again with that worthy stuff. The innate, primal fear of self-worth staring me back in the face again. Those of you who follow my teachings have heard me teach the universal fear of self-worth or the fear that we are all unworthy. Is there any surprise that all around the world people make up promises they will not keep only perpetuating their low self-worth and low self-esteem?

If you are truly ready for change, you can make it at any time. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tried, why wait until some man-designated, calendar time? What is time in God? Aren’t you better than that? Aren’t you deserving of a growing, prosperous, joy-filled life now? You don’t have to wait for a New Year. Your designated time is now. Yes, this very moment—every moment God gives you.

So, what’s your resolution? What’s your declaration? Write it. Make it plain. Put it on your mirror or your refrigerator whichever you use most. Write it on a poster board and place it on the ceiling of your home so when you awaken, it is the first thing you see. If you blow it by the end of the night and God gives you a new mercy-filled morning, start new and fresh.

Stop setting yourself up. End the New Year’s Resolution pattern of broken promises, hopelessness, helplessness and heart break. Start your New Moment resolution now. I’ve taken a God-blessed, Grace-filled, harmonious, life-more-abundant New Moment Resolution. Won’t you join me today!

In love, light & healing.

Pamela
